Do you want to make 2019 your best year ever? Look no further! Cornerstone are recruiting for a Local Care and Support Team Member in Glasgow for 32 hours per week.

Cornerstone is leading the way to change the future of Health and Social Care by developing local self-organised teams; not only improving the quality of the support we deliver but benefiting colleagues with greater autonomy and more professional development opportunities. We want our colleagues to be truly valued for the highly-skilled, life-changing work that they do every day. This is why we've introduced our new pay grade of £10.00 per hour for Team Members.

Our team in Glasgow is one of the first to participate in this pioneering model. We support a gentleman with autism and who is house-bound due to disability to maintain his independence at home. He loves music, particularly from the 70’s and 80’s, and has a great sense of humour. He likes to be included in conversation and to chat with the team about the things he has read in the paper or watched on television. He likes reading food magazines and enjoys picking out recipes that he can make at home with his support staff.

Our team provide a twenty-four hour service. This includes an 8 am – 8 pm and 10 am – 6 pm shift, plus a 8 pm – 8 am waking night. If you’re successful, we will need you to work public holidays as part of your rota.

Experience in a caring or supportive role would be preferable, but is not essential; as an organisation, we're more interested in your values and behaviours! We'll give you all the training you need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ qualification.

This is a new post in our pioneering model and is still subject to consultation.

If successful, you will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare.

If you’re shortlisted for this role, we’ll invite you for interview on Monday 28 January.
