At Cornerstone, we all work together to make a positive difference to people’s lives. We are one of Scotland’s largest charities with over 35 years’ experience providing care and support for adults and children with various support needs throughout the country. Our aim is to make a real difference to the people we support by enabling them to enjoy a valued life – the life they choose.

Our team at Castlecraigs Court in Ardrossan are on the lookout for caring, motivated Support Workers to join them. We have part time contracts available, up to 30 hours per week, as well as relief (non-contracted) positions.

Castlecraigs Court is an energetic, fast-paced Housing Support service, which is home to thirteen individuals with complex support needs. We have a great team spirit within the service and our colleagues really pride themselves on working together to make a really positive difference to the lives of the individuals we support.

As a Support Worker, you will provide personalised, flexible support based upon the assessed needs of each individual. With a focus on reducing social isolation, maintaining and promoting independence, you will enable the people we support to live as independently as possible and to play an active role within their local communities.

Our service runs twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week; therefore, you will need to be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, waking nights and public holidays as part of your rota, as this is essential to ensure we provide the best round-the-clock support.

You don’t need to have previous experience in this field to be considered, nor do you need qualifications – we care more about you sharing and demonstrating our values! By joining us, you will have a rewarding career in social care, gaining a wealth of experience and access to a vast range of learning and development opportunities through our award-winning Training Academy. You will be challenged, engaged and supported to reach your maximum potential and help us achieve our goal of becoming the first choice for care and support in Scotland.

Cornerstone has an ambitious aim to revolutionise social care by introducing self-organising teams. This model focuses on empowering colleagues in local communities to work in the best interests of the people we support. We are the first social care organisation in Scotland to adopt this way of working and you can be part of this exciting journey.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Cornerstone Chat on Friday 23 November.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare.

A career with Cornerstone is more than a job. Apply today and begin your journey with us.
