We've got an exciting part-time (25 - 30 hours Monday - Friday) opportunity to join our team as a Self Direct Support Service Advisor. The is a temporary role leading to a permanent position within our SDS team.

As a SDS Advisor you will deliver information, advice and support on the Self-Directed Support options available to recipients and/or their family. Providing on-going support required once the options have been selected and work closely with social work colleagues, to help ensure a seamless service is delivered.

Part of your role will be to support recipients to become employers of their own, working closely with our HR and Employment Law Consultants to ensure that recipients follow safe and lawful recruitment practices.

The successful candidate should be computer literate, including the ability to use databases. You will have good organisational and time management skills along with the ability to communicate in varied styles and work sensitively and maintain confidentiality.

An in-depth induction and period of shadowing will be given to the successful candidate.

This role will cover Aberdeen city and surrounding areas, there will also be an aspect of working from home so the successful candidate must have access to internet and mobile phone coverage, all equipment required will be provided.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview on Tuesday 20th November 2018.

There will be travel involved, visiting clients in their own homes, so a driver with access to a car is essential. As an SDS Advisor you will be predominantly lone working but still be part of a team and will be expected to undertake an SVQ level 3 in Advice and Guidance.
