Through the introduction of local self-organising teams, this model focuses on empowering colleagues in local communities to work in the best interests of the people we support.

We are the first social care organisation in Scotland adopting this way of working and we have an exciting opportunity for you to be a part of this journey!

We are looking for self-motivated, caring Team Members to join our new Local Care & Support Team at our Waterfront service in the picturesque village of Garelochhead. We have a range of part-time contracts available from 20 to 30 hours per week.

This brand new housing support service will eventually be home to up to 10 individuals with various physical and learning disabilities, including autism. Working collaboratively within our new Local Care & Support team you will provide personalised, flexible support based on the assessed needs of each person, helping them grow in confidence and meet their goals. You will empower the people we support and encourage independence at all times.

As a valued Team Member, you will have a strong drive to provide the best quality care and support. You will be flexible, reliable and honest. You must be able to work well within a team and be able and willing to build strong, trusting relationships with your colleagues. You will be sensitive to the needs of others, be able to work well as part of a self-organising team and have good verbal and written communication skills.

Any prior experience would be welcome but is not essential. As an organisation, we care more about you sharing and demonstrating our values. You will have the opportunity to access a wide range of courses and qualifications through our award-winning Training Academy, as well as a coaching team that will support you on your journey with us. You must, however, be willing to undertake an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) if you do not already hold one.

This service runs twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week; so, if you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as part of your rota. A full UK drivers licence is preferable for this post.

This is a new post in our pioneering model and is still subject to consultation.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an Assessment Centre on Monday 17 December, followed by interviews on Tuesday 18 December.
