Vacancy Reference Number: 3568
Salary: £20,280 - £20,280 per annum (part time pro rata)
Closing Date: 22 Jan 2019, 23:59

Let 2019 be the year you make a difference! Now’s the perfect time to make the change you’ve been thinking about. Cornerstone is recruiting Local Care and Support Team Members throughout North Lanarkshire. We have various full and part time positions available.

Cornerstone is leading the way to change the future of Health and Social Care by developing local self-organised teams; not only improving the quality of the support we deliver but benefiting colleagues with greater independence and more professional development opportunities. We want our colleagues to be truly valued for the highly-skilled, life-changing work that they do every day. This is why we've introduced our new pay grade of £10.00 per hour for Team Members.

We are looking to expand a number of our existing Local Care and Support Teams throughout North Lanarkshire providing varied support. This includes:
- Female* Team Members in Airdrie to provide support for older adults and adults with lifelong illness and health conditions;
- Team Members in Motherwell to provide support for older adults and adults with lifelong illness and health conditions;
- Team Members in Motherwell and Bellshill to provide support for children and young people with learning disabilities and other support needs;
- Team Members in Cumbernauld to provide support for young people with learning disabilities and autism.
- Female* Team Members in Coatbridge.

Experience in a caring or supportive role would be preferable, but is not essential; as an organisation, we're more interested in your values and who you are as a person! You’ll receive all the training you need through our award-winning Training Academy, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ qualification.

Our dedicated teams provide person-centred support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. If you join our team, you should be flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as a part of your rota.

This is a new post in our pioneering model and is still subject to consultation.

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration.

* For this position, female is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010 to assist with personal care.

If your application is shortlisted, you’ll be invited to our Recruitment Day on either Monday 28 or Tuesday 29 January.

A career with Cornerstone is more than a job. Apply today and begin your journey with us.
