Do you enjoy being active? Are you looking for a career that allows you to combine your passion while making a huge difference to the lives of others? Then look no further as we are looking for you!

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to join our team at Parkholme on a part-time (20 – 30 hour), permanent basis.

Based in Lossiemouth, Parkholme is a purpose built care home for six adults with learning & physical disabilities. The residents are at the centre of all we do and to help achieve this, we have created a warm, homely atmosphere. We share lots of fun and laughter with the residents, their families and friends. We are here to enable people to achieve their potential in their own home and ensure we care for the residents with dignity and respect.

Our residents enjoying going to the local cafes, horse riding, swimming pools, ten pin bowling and using the Jacuzzi. To work in Parkholme, you need to be physically fit as we are involved in a lot of moving and handling.

As a Support Worker, you will take a person-centred approach to help the people we support pursue their chosen lifestyle, within their own home and local community. Our Community Support team provides support for children and young adults, and older adults including care-at-home, learning disabilities, lifelong health conditions and mental health and addictions. Every day offers new challenges and opportunities! As well as providing personal care, administering medication and providing emotional support, you could be supporting someone to attend college, social nights out and holidays.

It would be great if you have an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 7 (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent. However, you do not need specific qualifications or experience to be considered. If you have the right values and are prepared to work towards gaining this qualification, we want to hear from you!

We provide flexible, customer-led services that run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, so you should be prepared to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and sleepovers on a rota basis.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to our Cornerstone Chat on Wednesday 21st November 2018.

By joining us, you will have a rewarding career in social care, gaining a wealth of experience and access to a vast range of learning and development opportunities through our award-winning Training Academy. You will be challenged, engaged and supported to reach your maximum potential and help us achieve our goal of becoming the first choice for care and support in Scotland.

Cornerstone has an ambitious aim to revolutionise social care by introducing self-organising teams. This model focuses on empowering colleagues in local communities to work in the best interests of the people we support. We are the first social care organisation in Scotland to adopt this way of working and you can be part of this exciting journey.

A career with Cornerstone is more than a job. Apply today and begin your journey with us.
