At Cornerstone we're not just satisfied with settling, we search for improvements in everything we do. The housing support services within Elgin have a dedicated staff team which supports the tenants to lead full, meaningful lives. The houses have a friendly, homely atmosphere and the tenantÂ’s needs and wishes are at the centre of our planning, both within the service and for activities out with. They are supported to participate in activities within the community and at home, which may include swimming, riding, bowling, discos, family visits, going on holiday and the choices/tasks necessary for maintaining their own home. The tenants have a happy home with a positive, can-do approach from the staff to support them.

As a Support Worker, the job satisfaction you'll get is second to none. You'll be providing invaluable support to individuals with different support needs and will help them to grow in confidence, meet their goals and play an active role within their local communities. You'll take a personalised and flexible approach based on the needs of each individual and will support their day-to-day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, housework, personal care and medication. With a focus on increasing independence and community activity we are also looking for you to be enthusiastic and creative when supporting individuals with their hobbies and interests and be dedicated to building excellent relationships with their families and other external stakeholders.

It would be great if you already have an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 7 (SVQ Level 3) but this is not essential - if your values match ours and you are prepared to work towards gaining this qualification.

If you're successful in joining our team, our services run 24/7 so shift patterns will include early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays as these are essential to ensure that we provide excellent round the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual. In return for your hard work, commitment and positive approach, you'll not only receive a huge amount of job satisfaction, we'll offer on-going training and development opportunities, a competitive salary, generous annual leave and access to Cornerstone Perks (our exclusive employee discount scheme).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Cornerstone Chat on Wednesday 19 December.

A career with Cornerstone is more than a job. Apply today and begin your journey with us.
