As we start this exciting journey, we're looking for Team Members to join our new Local Care and Support Team in North Lanarkshire for between 20 and 36 hours per week.

Based in Cumbernauld, you will be part of a team supporting two young men with autism and additional support needs. Both of the young men you will support enjoy getting out and about in their local community and so we will need you to creative and proactive in helping to access the things they enjoy and in sourcing new activities within the area. For this reason, a full UK driving licence is essential for this post.

You will have a strong drive to provide the best quality care and support, understand the importance of building routine and structure for both of the young men and be committed to building positive relationships with their families. You must be able to work well within a team and be able and willing to build strong, trusting relationships with your colleagues. You will be flexible and reliable. If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, waking nights and public holidays as part of your rota, as the support we provide is tailored to meet the needs of the individuals.

Working collaboratively within our team you will help us to:

• Enable the individuals we support to lead a valued life - the life they choose.
• Plan work schedules around the needs of the people we support.
• Overcome challenges and assist the people we support to achieve their goals.

You will ideally have experience within a caring or supportive role and an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent); however, this is not essential. As an organisation, we care more about you sharing and demonstrating our values. You will have the opportunity to access a wide range of courses and qualifications through our award-winning Training Academy, as well as a coaching team that will support you on your journey with us.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare.
