We are currently looking for motivated and compassionate part time individuals to join our team as Support Workers on a permanent basis. We have 20, 30 and 39 hour contracts available

Based in New Deer, we are a Housing Support service providing 24 hour support to eight people in their own individual homes. Our friendly and welcoming team is a good mixture of young and older staff and male and female, always willing to support each other. The people we support all have Autism and learning disabilities, enjoy taking part in different activities which include swimming, walking, rebound, wall climbing. There is never a dull moment at New Deer, always kept on your toes, although it can be challenging it is also very rewarding!

As a Support Worker, you will provide companionship and assist the people we support with daily living, including personal care, administering medication, meal preparation and domestic tasks. You will be working on a 1:1 basis empowering the people we support to make choices, promote their independence and help them achieve their best potential.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with the people we support, their families and the wider multi-disciplinary team. An SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or be willing to work towards this will be required to meet SSSC registration. You should be flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays on a rota basis, including sleepover shifts.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
