Cornerstone is a leading, innovative and one of the largest charities in Scotland with over 35 years experience of caring for and supporting children, young people and adults who are dealing with complex conditions and/or circumstances. Our purpose is to deliver high quality care and support that enables everyone to live a valued life, the life they choose.

Our projects and services are continuing to grow and there are a range of exciting opportunities for enthusiastic and committed people to join our support teams. Full-time, part-time and relief positions are available across Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire.

A Support Worker role is varied; it might involve direct personal care in someone’s home or supporting someone to access community facilities, e.g. educational, shopping, employment and recreational. You could be helping young people at after-school and holiday clubs, those involved in the criminal justice system or offering advice to families who are affected by looking after a loved one.

If you know WHY you want to work with people and can convey this by your actions then we want you. You’re bound to be a great communicator and able to use your initiative with a “can do” attitude and will shine at delivering high quality person-centred support.

Don’t worry if you feel that you don't have some of the skills and knowledge, we want your attitude first! We have a great culture and invest heavily in your learning and development and provide a range of attractive benefits. Comprehensive training includes SVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care (if you don’t already have it); Moving and Handling; Autism; Learning Disabilities and many more.

You are going to be challenged, engaged and supported to reach your maximum potential and help achieve our goal of becoming the first choice in Scotland for vulnerable people and their families who need care and support.

Join us now and be an innovator! Based on a highly-successful Dutch model, Buurtzorg, Cornerstone has an ambitious aim to revolutionise social care by introducing local self organising teams. The model is based on empowering colleagues in local communities to work in the best interests of the people we support. We are the first social care organisation in Scotland adopting this way of working and you can be part of this exciting journey. We think #youareawesome
