Are you stuck in a job you don't enjoy and desperate for a change?

Here at Cornerstone we recruit on values. It's not about what experience and qualifications you have, we're interested in what you as an individual will bring to our team. We have our own Training Academy who'll support you by giving you all the skills and qualifications you'll need to be successful in your new role.

As 2019 promises to be one of our most exciting years yet, our Community Support team in the Scottish Borders are on the lookout for permanent, fixed term (1 year) and relief/bank Support Workers to join them. The permanent post we have is 30 hours covering the Kelso area and the fixed term post is 20 hours covering the Galashiels & Newtown areas. For these positions it would be an advantage if you have a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.

All we'll need you to bring is:-

* A caring and compassionate attitude.
* A customer focussed approach.
* Great communication skills.
* Professionalism.
* A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support.
* Confidence in the use of technology.

As a Support Worker, we'll guarantee you heaps of job satisfaction. No two days are ever the same. You'll play a HUGE part in making a difference in the lives of others every day, helping them to reach their goals and play an active role in their local communities.

We're dedicated to providing the best around the clock support possible, so shift patterns do include early mornings, days, evenings, split shifts, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays.

So if your New Years resolution is to find a job you'll love. Apply to #JoinOurTeam today! We'd love to hear from you.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited along for a Cornerstone Chat on Thursday 24th January 2019.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Cornerstone has an ambitious aim to revolutionise social care by introducing local self organised teams. The model is based on empowering colleagues in local communities to work in the best interests of the people we support. We are the first social care organisation in Scotland adopting this way of working and you can be part of this exciting journey.
