Are you looking for a rewarding career? Do you want to make a difference? Yes, then we have a great opportunity for you!

At Cornerstone we're not just satisfied with settling, we search for improvements in everything we do. We're caring, hardworking and not afraid to push the boundaries to go the extra mile for our colleagues, the individuals we support and their families.

With exciting times ahead and as our services continue to grow in North Lanarkshire, we're on the look out for full-time, part-time Support Workers and Specialist Support Workers & relief colleagues to join our Supported Living Team across North Lanarkshire. No experience necessary; we recruit on values and behaviours and will invest in you by giving you all the skills you'll need through our award winning Training Academy.

As a Support Worker, the job satisfaction you'll get is second to none. You'll be providing invaluable support to individuals with different support needs and will help them to grow in confidence, meet their goals and play an active role within their local communities. You'll take a personalised and flexible approach based on the needs of each individual and will support their day to day personal needs; including meal planning, cooking, housework, personal care and medication. With a focus on increasing independence and community activity we’re also looking for you to be enthusiastic and creative when supporting individuals with their hobbies & interests and be dedicated to building excellent relationships with their families and other external stakeholders.

Although it would be great if you already have an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 7 (SVQ Level 3), this isn't essential if you're bringing values that match ours and are committed to working with our Training Academy towards gaining this qualification.

If you're successful in joining our team, our services run 24/7, so shift patterns will include early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays as these are essential to ensure that we provide excellent round the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual.

Sound interesting? Apply today! We'd love to hear from you.

Cornerstone has an ambitious aim to revolutionise social care by introducing local care and support teams. The model is based on empowering colleagues in local communities to work in the best interests of the people we support. We are the first social care organisation in Scotland adopting this way of working and you can be part of this exciting journey.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a Cornerstone Chat week commencing 19th November 2018.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
