Our dynamic staff team at Huxterstone Court are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated individual to join them as a Support Worker on a full-time, fixed term basis to cover maternity leave.

Don't have experience? Don't worry, we recruit on values and behaviours and will invest in you by giving you all the skills you'll need including SVQ qualifications and pay for your time during training.

Huxterstone Drive is situated in the Kingswells area. The service provides 24hr staff support accommodating 4 ladies with various levels of additional support needs. All ladies require assistance with Personal Care needs on different levels ensuring they are encouraged to maintain there independence as much as possible with staff supervision.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively also happy to adapt and develop to new ways of communication to meet the requirements of individuals. Helpful but not a requirement, someone who can already understand and use basic sign language/Makaton skills. The ladies just love to keep active so getting out and about in the Service Vehicle as much as possible whether a cup of tea fine piece, attending Activities Fellowship Groups, disco’s, visiting family and friends, attending Drama/Keep Fit Groups.

As we are dedicated to providing around the clock support that is tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns for this service do include early mornings, evenings, weekends, sleepovers, waking nights and public holidays so we will need you to be flexible.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare.

Driver’s license is preferable but not essential.
