Are you stuck in a job you don't enjoy and desperate for a change?

Here at Cornerstone we recruit on values. It's not about what experience and qualifications you have, we're interested in what you as an individual will bring to our team. We have our own Training Academy who’ll support you by giving you all the skills and qualifications you'll need to be successful in your new role.

As 2019 promises to be one of our most exciting years yet, we're on the look out for a part-time (32 hours) and relief/bank Support Workers to join our team in Dunfermline. Shift patterns for the 32 hour post would be 2 x 16 hours plus a sleepover per week.

All we'll need you to bring is:-

* A caring and compassionate attitude.
* A customer focussed approach.
* Great communication skills.
* Professionalism.
* A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support.
* Confidence in the use of technology.

As a Support Worker, we'll guarantee you heaps of job satisfaction. No two days are ever the same. You'll be providing support to a young man within his own residential setting. Your main aim will be supporting his day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, housework, personal care and medication. As this young man enjoys an active social life within the local community, we would be looking for you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting him with his interests including motorsports, plane spotting, the cinema, walking and day trips.

We are ideally looking for someone who has experience in caring or supportive role with the ability to lone work, cope with pressure and manage behaviour that challenges. However, the successful candidates will undergo extensive training on a detailed and specific support plan devised by a multi disciplinary team.

So if your New Years resolution is to find a job you'll love. Apply to #JoinOurTeam today! We'd love to hear from you.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Cornerstone is changing the face of social care by introducing local self organised teams. This model is based on empowering colleagues in local communities to work in the best interests of the people we support. We are the first social care organisation in Scotland adopting this way of working and you can be part of this exciting journey.
