Our Canalside, Edinburgh team are on the look out for a Support Worker (36.25 hours per week) to join them. To be considered for this opportunity we'll need you to hold a full UK driving license and have a commitment to obtaining permission to drive a minibus (D1 license category) if you don't already have this. Any cost involved would be covered by our funding.

Canalside is a beautiful, light and spacious day centre overlooking the canal which offers support to adults over 65 living with dementia. We use a holistic approach, taking in the physical, medical, psychological, emotional and developmental needs of the people we support, offering a range of activities to fit with each individual’s current and previous interests, often stimulating memories and skills that have either been lost or forgotten.

Joining our team as a Support Worker, you'll support day to day needs with a focus on daily living skills, reducing social isolation and helping to maintain or improve independence. We adopt a person centred approach to provide the highest quality support to support individuals to achieve their individual outcomes and aspirations alongside building excellent relationships with their families and carers. As we provide a range of activities we'll need you to bring the ability to plan and organise stimulating group activities.

Don't have experience? Don't worry, we recruit on values and behaviours and will invest in you by giving you all the skills you'll need through our Training Academy. If you're successful in joining our team, shift patterns will fall within the hours of 0900-1630 hours Monday-Saturday.
