How would you like to be part of an innovative service at the forefront of Scottish Social Care Policy?

We've got an exciting opportunity for a friendly and engaging individual to join our team as a Self-Directed Support (SDS) Advisor on a part-time (30 hours) hours.

This is a home based role where you'd be covering Stonehaven, Laurencekirk and the surrounding areas and shifts would fall within the hours of 0900-1600 hours, Monday to Friday. We will need you to have access to the internet and mobile phone coverage at your home, however we will supply all of the equipment you'll need to carry out your role.

As an SDS Advisor, you will deliver information, advice and support on the Self-Directed Support options available to recipients and/or their families. You will provide on-going support as required once the options have been selected and work closely with social work colleagues to help ensure a seamless service is delivered. Part of your role will be to support recipients to become employers of their own, working closely with our HR and Employment Law Consultants to ensure that they follow safe and lawful recruitment practices.

As part of your role, you'll also visit clients in their own homes, so we will need you to hold a full driving license and have access to your own vehicle to allow you to travel within the local area vehicle. We do offer travel expenses of 45p per mile.

To be successful in this role, you should be computer literate, including the ability to use a suite of Microsoft Office programs, and confident in the use of databases. You will have good organisational and time-management skills, have good communication skills and be able to adapt your communication style to meet the needs of others. You will work sensitively and be respectful of confidentiality.

In return for the above, you'll receive a fantastic benefits package, including generous annual leave, Group Personal Pension, Group Life Assurance and access to exclusive on-line shopping discounts and rewards. You'll also be paid for your time during your training.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today! We'd love to hear from you.

Shortlisted candidates will invited to a Cornerstone Chat by video on Wednesday 9th December 2020.

In this role you will need to register with the SSSC within six months of taking up employment
