Our new service is now recruiting for active and understanding individuals to complete our new team in Dunfermline as Support Workers. The young man we support has ADHD, Autism and can display behaviours that challenge we are ideally looking for individuals with experience in a caring and supportive role. We have 3 contracts between 30 - 39 hours available.

As a member of our team you'll be providing support to a young man within his own residential setting. Your main aim will be supporting his day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, support with housework, observation with his medication. He will mainly require prompting for personal care and guidance to establish and adapt routines.

The person we support is very active and enjoys being out and about and loves going swimming, so we’ll need you to be confident in the pool. We would be looking for you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting him with his interests, plan activities whilst nurturing guiding him to be able to do things independently. By taking a person centred and outcomes focused approach, you will get to know him as an individual and help him recognise his potential.

As we are dedicated to providing around the clock support that is tailored to the needs of the individual, shift patterns for this service are 08.00-15.00, 15.00-23.00, with one long shift which is 08.00-23.00 (Sleepover) 07.00-08.00. We work to a 6 week rolling rota where all colleagues get 2 weekends off.

We'll invest in you by giving you all the skills you'll need through our award-winning Training Academy including an opportunity to complete your SVQ with us!

Shortlisted candidates will be invited along to our Cornerstone Chat on Tuesday 16th March 2021.

Cornerstone is more than just a job, begin your journey with us and apply today!
