Support Worker

Location: Ellon
Vacancy Reference Number: 4480
Salary: £18,860 - £18,860 per annum (part time pro rata)
Closing Date: 07 Mar 2021, 23:59

Are you looking for a #GreatJob where you can make a difference every day? Look no further!

Our amazing #TeamLowerArnha in Ellon are looking for new flexible, adaptable, caring colleagues with a great sense of humour to join them! We have various permanent part-time (16-25 hours) contracts available.

You don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll needÂ…. we'll even put you through your SVQ qualification too!

You'll become part of a friendly, fun team that supports four gentlemen to live in their own home. The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. Your main aim will be supporting the gentleman's day to day needs which involve personal care, shopping, finances, cooking, housework and medication.

With the gentlemen also enjoying being part of their local community, you'll also be supporting and participating in their hobbies and interests which include, swimming, going for walks, singing, playing musical instruments and attending events. Going out for drives is also a popular activity so if you're a driver that would be great, but it's not a deal breaker.

Routines and activities are different at this present time. Lots of activities are happening within the house and outdoors, therefore a creative and fun approach to bringing in ideas to keep the people we support active and occupied during this time of restrictions would helpful.

All we'll need you to bring is: -

* A great listener with great communication skills.
* A caring attitude and approach.
* A positive approach to learning.
* Always seek to go above and beyond what's expected.
* Confidence in the use of technology.
* The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too).

We're dedicated to providing around the clock support that is tailored to the needs of each individual, so shift patterns do include days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays.

What are you waiting for? Apply today; we can't wait to hear from you!

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview by video on 16th March 2021.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
