Our amazing Borders Community Support Team are on the lookout for caring, flexible and motivated *ladies to join them on a permanent basis (up to 30 hours) as Team Members. You'll be part of a self-organised team who provide care and support to adults with additional support needs, where we'll guarantee you heaps of job satisfaction.

Knowledge or experience with learning disability, Autism, Fragile X and Mental health is desirable but not essential to start your career with us as we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need along with the opportunity to complete your SVQ.

The individuals we support enjoy an active lifestyle and love getting out and about, their hobbies and interests include going to the cinema, darts, pool, swimming and live music, so we'll need you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting with their interests whilst nurturing and guiding to enable each individual to do things independently. You'll also support with all aspects of daily living.

As a self-organised team, you will also be expected to assist in some admin tasks, full training and mentoring will be available. By taking a person centred and outcomes focused approach, you'll get to know the people we support as individuals and help them recognise their potential.

As we're dedicated to providing the best care and support, shift patterns will include mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Shifts are typically 6 - 8 hours long and start at 8am with the latest shift finishing at 9pm.

If you're successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and be committed to working towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration with the support from our Training Academy.
