We have a very exciting opportunity for a full-time Team Leader to join our team in Garthdee on a 24 month fixed term basis with potential to be extended.

Garthdee is a busy housing support and care at home service with many activities and social events including bowling, discos and going swimming. We support four ladies with individual needs with some more complex than others. We also support five individuals who live close by in our satellite services.

As a Team Leader, you will provide support to the Service Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, including line management for the staff team and any relief/bank staff allocated to you. You will also be responsible for management of rotas and support arrangements. You will be expected to participate in formal on call duties on a rotational basis.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality, person-centred support, with excellent interpersonal skills that will lead and inspire staff to deliver excellence in all aspects of their work. You will need to be able to communicate efficiently with a wide range of people, and build and maintain positive, professional relationships with supported individuals, their families, carers, and other stakeholders.

Significant experience of working in a caring or supportive role with adults with learning disabilities and / or mental health issues is an essential requirement for this post.

On a personal level, you will be resilient with a positive outlook and a sense of humour.

SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred. You need to be eligible to join the SSSC registers for Housing Support and Care at Home. IT skills for administration tasks also preferred.
