Our fantastic #TeamBaxter in Dumbarton is expanding and are now on the lookout for creative and caring individuals with an empathetic nature to join them on a permanent basis as Support Workers. We have 20, 25 and 30 hour contracts available.

Baxter View is a specialist housing complex for individuals with autism and other complex support needs. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will work as part of a strong, supportive team to empower the people we support to make choices, promote their independence and live a valued life.

We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ.

We are looking for people who'll be enthusiastic about participating and supporting with hobbies and interests in the community. There is never a dull moment at Baxter View, the people we support are very active and enjoy various things from football and hockey to swimming and Arts & crafts. A few other interests also include baking, socialising, Disney, going out, doing make-up, walking and dancing and shopping.

Part of this role will be supporting their day to day personal needs including meal planning, cooking, housework, support to appointments, personal care and medication. As a Support Worker we will need you to be flexible in your approach and be able to follow guidelines. With your help we will enable the people we support to live independently and play an active role within their local communities.

Our dedicated team provides person-centred support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Shift patterns are 08:00 – 15:00, 12:00 – 22:00 and will include weekends and public holidays as a part of your rota.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited along to a Virtual Selection Day on Wednesday 24th March with a second stage Chat on Tuesday 30th or Wednesday 31st 2021.

If successful, you will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and must be willing to work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare to meet SSSC registration requirements.
