We are now looking for individuals with a friendly and forward thinking nature to join our West Dunbartonshire Housing Support team in Clydebank and Dumbarton as Peripatetic Support Workers. We have 20 – 30 hour contracts available including relief opportunities.

You don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need with opportunity to complete an SVQ.

As a Peripatetic Support Worker, you will work across 2 housing support services and take a person-centred approach to enable the people we support pursue their chosen lifestyle, within their own home and play an active role in their local community.

We support a range of individuals who have various degrees of learning disabilities and needs. Your main aim will be supporting their day to day personal needs including meal planning, cooking, housework, support to appointments, prompting with personal care and medication. You may also support people to attend college or a voluntary job. We are looking for people who'll be enthusiastic about participating and supporting with hobbies and interests including the gym, football, meeting with friends. We anticipate these being regular activities once restrictions are lifted.

Your safety at work and that of the people we support is of paramount importance to us here at Cornerstone. We are following all government guidelines and advice, have all PPE protocols in place and have split staff into smaller teams (support bubbles) to make sure any risks are minimised.

We provide flexible, customer-led services that run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, so you should be prepared to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays and on a rota basis. Some of our services require sleepovers and waking nights.
