Passionate about making a difference and looking for a career that is packed full of job satisfaction? Then we could have just what you are looking for!!

Cornerstone is one of Scotland's largest charities with 40 yearsÂ’ experience providing care and support for adults and children with various support needs all over Scotland. Our aim is to make a real difference to the people we support by enabling them to enjoy a valued life.

Two of our fabulous service in Clydebank, Riddell and Ailsa, are now on the lookout for compassionate, patient and understanding ladies (Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010) to join them as Team Members. Both services have a 20 hour contract available.

The great thing is that no two days are ever the same in this role. We recruit on values and transferable skills, so previous care experience is not essential as we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even put you through your SVQ qualification too!

Riddell supports 3 ladies and Ailsa support 4 ladies who all have various degrees of learning disabilities and needs. Your main aim will be supporting their day to day personal needs including meal planning, cooking, housework, support to appointments, personal care and medication. Both services are very active and the ladies have many interests including music, attending clubs, and social events (once restrictions are lifted). As routines and activities are different at this present time, we're looking for you to bring a creative, fun approach to activities that are happening within the house and garden.

The successful candidates will deliver invaluable assistance by providing personalised and flexible support based on the assessed needs of the people we support, helping them grow in confidence and meet their goals. You will have the ability to empower and encourage independence at all times, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work sensitively and maintain confidentiality at all times. You'll have a positive nature and be able to overcome challenges with commitment, enthusiasm and be able to develop relationships built on trust, respect and consideration.

We provide flexible, customer-led services that run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, so you should be prepared to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and public holidays and on a rota basis. Our Riddell service provides waking nights and at Ailsa we provide sleepovers which are shared between the team.

Your safety at work and that of the people we support is of paramount importance to us here at Cornerstone. We are following all government guidelines and advice, have all PPE protocols in place and have split staff into smaller teams (support bubbles) to make sure any risks are minimised.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited alone to a virtual chat on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th December 2020.

Apply today and start 2021 with a career that is more than just a job!
